As of September 16th, you may now request a mail-in ballot for these reasons related to COVID-19:
- HIGH RISK: You are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 because of a preexisting health condition
- EXPOSURE QUARANTINE: You are subject to isolation or medically necessary quarantine as a result of exposure
- MEDICAL ADVICE: Advised by a medical professional to quarantine due to COVID-19 concerns
- PRE-DIAGNOSIS SYMPTOMS: Experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and seeking diagnosis
- CARETAKER: Caring for someone with COVID-19
- Fill out the "Temporary COVID-19 Ballot Request here
REQUESTING YOUR BALLOT
- To vote by mail, your ballot must be requested by: December 1st, 2020
- Online Application: You may request an absentee by mail ballot by logging in to the Louisiana Voter Portal.
- Print and Mail Application: You may also print an application to request an absentee by mail ballot which you can complete and deliver to your parish registrar of voters. Delivery may be by U.S. Postal Service, commercial carrier, hand delivery or fax. If hand delivered or faxed, the application can only be for you or your immediate family member. Select the application that applies to you:

- Dropped off in person to the registrar of voters by: December 4th, 2020 at 4:30 PM
- Received by your local election official in the mail by: December 4th, 2020 at 4:30 PM
